Yarn: Elann Peruvian Baby Silk - 80% Alpaca/20% Silk, in Parchment

Needles: 3.5mm / 4 US and 5.5mm / 9 US

Gauge: roughly 5 stitches and  6 rows per inch

Stitch Pattern: Banded Insertion Pattern

Source: BW1, p. 16.

Comments: The stockinette sections of this stitch are knit with the larger size needles - it makes it a little hard to get a proper gauge count, but it gives a nice drapey look to the fabric.  I wonder how it would look if you used something like a 3.5mm and a 10mm needle.
