Comments: In all the fanciness of some of these stitch patterns, its easy to overlook the more straightforward ones. This is a variation on your typical basketweave pattern. I always think these basic ones are great for things like blankets and simple scarves - they lay nice and flat without blocking, and they are just complicated enough to keep you interested, while still being easy enough to work without looking at them.
