Yarn: Cascade 220 100% wool, in beige

Needles: 4.5mm / US 7

Gauge: 4.5 stitches x 6.75 rows per inch

Stitch Pattern: Roman Rib Stitch

Source: BW1, p. 13.

Comments:  I'm suddenly on a kick for these very basic patterns - in all the fanciness of lace and cables and everything else, all these basic ones tend to be forgotten.  This one looks very much like the side of a basket... (Note that its a faux-rib, because it doesn't have any stretch to it!).

What if this were knit very tightly in the round, for about 5 or 6 inches, and then you did a purl turning row, followed by circular decreases to make a flat bottom....  How long is it till Easter?  :)
